Guitarist Brandon
Lane started playing guitar for one reason
and one reason only - to be a famous rock star and to meet women. O.K., so
that's two reasons but who's counting? After spending several years
struggling with an original band, he finally realized that rock stardom and
the throngs (and thongs) of groupies might be out of reach. So he did the
only thing a self-respecting musician could do - he joined a cover band.
Since then, he's played with gobs of "memorable" local cover bands,
one of which was where he met his lovely wife, singer Monique
Lane. (At least the dream of meeting women came
true.)

Monique Lane, or Mo as we like to call her, started singing in the 6th
grade after landing the part of Queen Isabella in a school play. After
graduating from high school she kept on singing while brightening the lives
of countless downtrodden and geriatric souls while touring the U.S. and
Europe with "Up with People". After UWP she studied music at U.C.
Mo spent a few years wowing wedding reception and karaoke crowds with her
version of "Respect," until Aretha Franklin called, asking for
her voice back. She was the sexy voice behind the "Do Your Share For
Cleaner Air" campaign (air can be sexy - it can damn it!), and she
played in the cover band Biscuit where she met her husband. Her real job is
in advertising (not that advertising is a real job, really) where she has
won local and national awards including an Emmy. She's also quite a snappy
dresser, and has an unhealthy fetish for the tambourine. Monique plans to
one day retire and open the world's first Pug farm.

Bass player Joe Romelli
started playing guitar at age 13 and switched to bass to start his first
band with his brother Louis. The band, called Midnight Lightning, played
Hendrix and related rock covers. They soon changed the name to The Joe
Louis Trio and started playing every worthless, non-paying gig they could
find. Joe also played in several local cover bands including The Maverick Blues
Band, the Anvil Slugs and the band Acumen. By day, Joe works in fire
protection, and by night he spends time with his family.

Steven “Sax Machine” Mutter grew up with a dream. When that dream proved impossible, he
joined Soul Biscuit. Raised on a Kentucky
farm by chickens, Steven developed an uncanny language consisting of high
pitched squeaks and croaking noises. After finding a rusty saxophone in the
barn one day, Steven translated this language into his one of a kind
playing style. When he’s not blowing into something, Steven can be found
teaching his craft to the children of the world. The rest of his time is
spent channeling the ghost of Bleeding Gums Murphy and being a daddy.

Soul Biscuit drummer, John Sullivan,
is the most recent addition to the band. John stepped in to replace his
brother Jim who spontaneously combusted during a recent gig after mixing
too much hairspray, vodka and Earth, Wind & Fire. John is veteran of
the local scene and his been doing his best to cause Brandon deafness off
and on for the past 15 years or so. When not playing drums John can be
found either wandering the condiment aisle of the Delhi Bigg’s or at one of
his son’s sporting events.
